Query help

Query examples:

ave verum

both words must appear in the record [try it]

christmas in uses

search for a word in a particular field [try it]

"o holy night"

these words must appear together, in that order [try it]

easter in uses and needs mending not in notes

use "and" and "or" to combine searches; use parentheses to group [try it]

The words "and", "or", "not", and "in" should be in quotes if you want to search for them; for example, searching for

away in a manger

will produce an error message ([try it]), but:

away "in" a manger

will work. ([try it])

Valid field names are: ID, Title, NCopies, Composer, Lyricist, Arranger, Date, Translator, Voicing, Uses, Location, LargerWork (one word), Source, Notes, Tune, and CheckedIn (one word).

The search engine is case insensitive.
